17. USAGE DATA

In the course of managing and optimising content on the portal, SBS monitors the activity of its sites to develop techniques to better reach out to our clients. This information resides on our servers and is never passed on to a third party and never used for marketing purposes. This information is held purely to provide statistical analysis and trace errors, in an effort to benefit our clients.

18. WARRANTY

The products / services provided are more of education / service based certificate courses to gain proficiency in Samskritam (Sanskrit) language. When the payee registers as a student, we provide them with the course materials and then they attend the face to face and /or online classes over a period of 6 months once a week. Since these certificate courses are 6 months in duration, the warranty period is 6 months from the date of beginning of the term. The term ends with a term end exam which the students can optionally take. As a practice, we also allow the students to come for the next term for the same certificate course in the next 6 months time, incase if they were not able to attend classes and /or not able to take part in the exam for the first term. We are running the organization as a Non- Profit Organization, so we are generally flexible with the participants as far as they have any reasonable requests. SBS takes necessary care to provide appropriate packing to withstand transit. Any dispute around transit damage will be handled by SBS as per the terms of sale. To and fro transportation charges for exchange, if any, will have to be borne either by the transport company or the customer.

19. REFUND POLICY

SBS provides education services for promoting, preserving and practicing Samskritam (Sanskrit) language. The face to face and / or online classes provided as part of the courses registered by the students are arranged based on the student commitments and we don’t provide refunds. However, being a non-profit organization, we are flexible and if there is a genuine case, who cannot attend the classes, we may deduct some amount as the cost of books/ classes they attended and refund the remaining amount. In the future, we may have Samskrita Bharati books available (books are published from Samskrita Bharati centre in India) for sale on the website for the public at large for which we may have the refund policy in place to cater to refund and / or cancellation of orders for books. In such cases as well there will be no refund once the orders have been executed. In case of a genuine case of cancellation/ refund arising out of damage to the book(s), the said book(s) will be replaced at no extra cost. Alternatively the entire money will be refunded in case the buyer goes ahead with the cancellation option in such a situation.

20. UPDATES

From time to time, SBS’s servers must be disabled for updates – i.e. important security updates or software upgrades. Where possible, notice will be given of this down-time. An example of an update which will receive no notice is a critical security update which closes a loophole detrimental to our shoppers’ security or experience.
